A former client of Offor Walker Group, Heather Schwager brings a strong background in educational organization staffing and a passion for promoting career excellence to her role as Founding Talent Matchmaker.
Heather holds degrees from Vassar College and George Washington University. She began her career in education as Deputy Chief for Central Office Effectiveness in the Washington, DC Public Schools, where she was responsible for the transformation of all human capital practices for all 600 central office staff. She also ran a non-profit, called MCBRE, where her work with one of the largest school districts nationally was profiled in a Harvard Case study. Most recently, Heather spent two years as a strategic HR generalist at the KIPP Foundation where she helped hire more than 60 full time staff, design a new onboarding program, and supported multiple business units as they aligned themselves to a new strategic plan.
“My goal is to see everyone in the education sector working in the most perfect job for them.” Heather says. “A job where they can leverage their strengths, report to a great boss, and make a difference for kids. At Offor Walker Group, I get to bring this vision to life on a day-to-day basis by matching strong talent with strong leaders.”
Heather lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two daughters who remind her every night how much children everywhere depend on education as a ticket to their dreams.
