Ron Rapatalo leads hiring searches for Offor Walker Group, and consults for school districts, charter schools and non-profits. Ron is also a coach, giving career advice on how to navigate career transitions and present oneself from networking to interviewing.
Born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, Ron earned a B.S. in Neural Science from New York University in 1997. In his first job in education after working at NYU and Morgan Stanley, Ron worked at Teach For America’s National Office for 18 months as the National Office Manager. There, he gained a keen appreciation for the impact that quality and diverse leadership can have on an educational organization. Ron then worked at New Leaders for seven years, where he designed and led the recruitment and selection process for the Aspiring Principals Program nationally. Most recently, he worked at Newark Public Schools as the Director of Recruitment and Selection for two years, leading principal, teacher and central office leadership recruitment and selection.
“Strong leadership is so important to quality education, and there are great leaders out there from many different backgrounds,” Ron says. “With Offor Walker Group, I can bring them together and make wonderful things happen for our children.”
